I am a software developer and naturally have been thinking of ideas for a website that could consolidate all CrossFit related information such as logging WOD results, goal setting, nutrition logging, analysis of performance, leaderboards etc... the list goes on and on.  Here is a snapshot of my brain.  As you can see I have CrossFit on the brain... I regularily use a software program called Mindjet MindManager to jot down all my ideas regarding a project that I'm working on.  This is the first step, getting the ideas down and the next step will be to review and formulate them into a plan to develop a working application that users will be able to test online in the near future. If you can make sense of this map  (you will need Flash to view this) I'd be interested to hear what you think...I'll be posting some mock screen shots soon.

Brad, is this what you are thinking about? I just enrolled CFR into its database and entered today's WOD. There are already quite a few affiliates on board.

Aaron, that looks like a great site. I'm going to test it out and see how it performs. Thanks for the link. www.beyondthewhiteboard.com

I used to use this app when I used to run a lot in the past with a garmin forerunner... may get some ideas from it. It's free and works well for lots of runners.

This is sweet Brad. I was thinking about wanting to set something like this up just this morning. Let me know if you decide to advance the idea further.

Mark, After reviewing www.beyondthewhiteboard.com They have done a great job of workout and food logs. I have since halted further development. I still think there is a market for a complete CrossFit software solution but haven't found anyone else who is as passionate about CrossFit and computing to work with me on this. If you are interested in going for drink to chat I'm game.

Brad, found your blog on developing a complete software solution for Crossfit. Myself and another member of my box. Crossfit 5280 had the same thought several months ago and have developed and started test deployments of a software package tailored to just the needs of a CF box.. So far we have:
    -website hosting
-a simple blog style website builder
    -a class scheduler
    -WOD and results database
    -automated trainer bio page
And we are in the process of adding a payment gateway

I would love to have you give our demo site a spin and give us your opinion on what you like/dislike.

Just drop me a line and we will set you up with a site you can poke and prod.
